The Granite Chief, Squaw Valley
The Granite Chief, voted as one of the top regional shops by Ski magazine in 2008, is famous for its bootfitting, more specifically, for being smart enough to employ chief bootfitter Gunner Wolf.
Wolf, who has worked at the Granite Chief for 30 years, is considered a “bootfitting pioneer” (Wikipedia never lies), has not just worked his bootfitting magic on weekend warriors braving the steeps of Squaw Valley, but more importantly, many members of the U.S. Ski Team as well.
