This year, a larger runway area at the base of Ajax and sunny weather throughout proved to be the perfect venue to preview next year’s styles. Runway shows included Jean-Charles de Castelbajac for Rossignol, Kjus, Authier, Dannenmann-Pure, Obermeyer, NUMBER: Lab, and Neve designs. The variety of garments shown across the shows is a testament to the fact that not everyone need dress similar on the slopes. Here are a few trends observed for next season that will let you stand out: prints, primary colors, long jackets, and the ski sweater, resurrected.
Photo: These are not your son’s tall jackets. Those park skiers might be onto something though, because thigh-skimming silhouettes will keep you warm and dry both on and off the slopes.
