Mountain Hardwear ZeO2

Since I telemark and tend to perspire more than I should probably admit, I was stoked to discover Mountain Hardwear's ZeO2 knickers. A minimalist alternative to long johns, the knickers provide ample overlap with the tops of my ski socks, creating a base layer that's plenty warm yet eliminates sweat buildup during strenuous skiing or hiking, especially in spring conditions. For this I credit the antimicrobial (read: less malodorous) ZeO2 fabric, which allows perspiration vapor to escape before it condenses into moisture, a.k.a. sweat. -Mark North $35/Mountain Hardwear/800-330-6800/www.mountainhardwear.com
