Turning Points: Skiing Slantways
A Classic Error
Photo: Lucas Gilman

When you move to the inside of a turn too soon—without also moving your center of mass forward—you can’t control the front of your outside ski, so it might run away from you. Concentrate on moving forward first to put pressure over your skis’ shovels before moving laterally to engage their edges.
