Where to Ski This Week
Stevens Pass, Wash.

A giant storm dropped a record-breaking 39 inches in 12 hours at Stevens Pass on December 7. Ski patrol was expecting about a foot–not 48 inches in 24 hours. In one week Stevens gained 107 inches. Crews worked overnight to open Mill Valley and keep up with crowds of psyched skiers.

Stevens has seven lifts and eight runs open, including the backside of the mountain.
