Let’s start by debunking a few myths:
– You don’t oversteer; your car oversteers when it turns more than you instruct it to with your steering wheel.
– You don’t understeer; your car understeers when your car doesn’t turn as much as you direct it to with your steering wheel.
– Driving off the beaten path, i.e. not in other’s tire tracks isn’t necessarily bad. It can help your wheels gain traction. But be cautious, layers of ice may be hiding under the snow.
– Turning on your high beams when driving through a heavy snowstorm may not help you see better. It may impair visibility.
