Popular in Europe, Gabel is working aggressively to expand its market share in North America. New this year is Free Ride, with 0.5-mm dual polycarbonate lenses, an antiscratch coating, and Gabel's fog-fighting Flow Air System. The company's signature piece is GTR National Team, a race goggle with 0.8-mm dual polycarbonate lenses that are treated with a reflective Ceramic Antiscratch Coating (CAT). "CAT provides five times the abrasion resistance of conventional coatings," says Frank Smyth, vice president of sales. Gabel offers five other models, ranging in price from $39 to $79.
