About Interface: Line Bindings 2005

Line is known as a youth-culture ski brand, but its engineering ingenuity can't be ignored. A Line customer may own three pairs of skis, but Line's technology allows him to buy just one binding, which can be transferred between pairs in seconds.

R12 $299; recommended for AMC, AME, FR. The R12 features Pivogy, a knee-friendly technology that allows lateral release at either the toe or heel. The Suspension Frame insulates the skier from vibration and provides a softer ride, though its luxurious feel is slightly marred by a distracting rocking motion. Once small problems are ironed out, Line's fledgling binding is bound to gain a foothold. Sept 2004.
