1) CARRERA CONAN$75; CARRERASPORT.COM
Like the Smith Transit (below), the Conan fits small heads best. The company's Platinum Red lenses are ideal for mixed conditions; two vents team up with the Airstream helmet (above).

2) SCOTT RANSOM $115; SCOTTUSA.COM
For a precise fit with or without a helmet, the Ransom incorporates a dual-position strap clip. The versatile, high-contrast Amplifier lens adapts to both low light and bluebird days.

3) ZEAL DETONATOR $150; ZEALOPTICS.COM
The lens on the Detonator is wider than most for greater peripheral vision, polarized to kill midafternoon glare, and photochromatic, which means it automatically adjusts as you go from sun to shade and back.

4) DRAGON FOIL $85; $120 for mirrored lensesDRAGONOPTICAL.COM
The Foil's stalactite-inspired design might just grow on you. The crisp, spherical amber lens flexes to follow the curve of your mug and enhance peripheral vision. Bonus: comes with a free Dragon beanie.

5) SMITH TRANSIT $55, $75 for mirrored lens; SMITHSPORT.COM
Downsized for smallish faces, the Transit also fits nicely with a helmet. The frames come in eight colors, and you can choose from seven lens types. As with all of Smith's latest goggs, you can open and close the vents to your liking.
