More skiers are venturing beyond the ropes in search of private powder stashes, and the growing need to tote avy gear and other essentials means the ski daypack has become de rigueur-or downright necessary. We searched far and wide for the eight best packs, then we took them skiing-to Whistler, Lake Louise, British Columbia's Coast Range backcountry, and the Monashees. Here's what we thought of them.
