For the first time ever, consumers can purchase Sorel’s warm and weather-resistant winter boots direct from the company. With the launch if its new e-commerce Web site, customers will have access to the company’s full line of boots, as well as perks such as a flat shipping rate, product reviews and ratings and the option to have their orders shipped in reused boxes. A subsidiary of Columbia Sportswear, Sorel’s boots were previously only available at specialty outdoor and shoe stores and department stores, or through online retailers such as Zappos.com.
The Web site also includes a new blog, The Sorel Experience, rounding out the company’s social media platform, which already includes Facebook and Twitter. This season, Sorel is also pumping up the style quotient with new styles, materials and colors. We’re digging the Road Soda with bright orange contrast stitching for men ($140) and the watermelon-rind green Tivoli for women ($95).
