4FRNT Hoji (2013)
Tester's Review
As Eric Hjorleifson has moved further into the backcountry, his pro model has come with him. The new Hoji features a lightweight core and a versatile, tour-friendly 112-millimeter waist. Full rocker from tip to tail makes it especially pivoty and smeary in soft conditionsits greatest strength. Initially it had trouble gripping hardpack, but full angulation allowed it to make smooth, large-radius turns with no discernible speed limit. Notes: The HOJI uses 4FRNT's Reflect Techmatching the ski's fully rockered profile with its side cutto provide a stable ride that turns quickly while maintaining stability at high speeds. With a 112-millimeter waist, it's most at home touring or on pow days.
PRICE (MSRP): $759.99
