Apache Xplorer MX (2010)
On the power-to-finesse spectrum, K2 used to live near the finesse end. Testers think that’s changing, crediting the Marker Inter-Pivot heelpiece. It’s the same one used in the Duke family, and its width delivers tons of leverage to the edge, even on skis as wide as the Xplorer. Throw in a metal-reinforced cap construction, and you get a No. 2 ranking for stability.
