Atomic Atlas (2012)
The Atlas, Atomic's widest ski is 125 mm in the waist. Atomic says it's 12-time World Cup speed event winner Daron Rhalves' freeski of choice for crushing Tahoe. It has a rockered tip for flotation and terrain absorption, but has traditional camber underfoot and in the tail for power and responsiveness. A shortened sidewall supports cap construction on top, so it has edge-bit but won't be overpowering, and the flex gets progressively suppler toward the tip and tail. Wood core.
