Atomic Blackeye (2009)
Testers have come to expect more from Atomic in this category, but less is better. The Blackeye has power, heft and stability, but it's less demanding-not to mention far less heavy-than recent Atomics. The Blackeye is similar to the Nomad Crimson Ti (AME Freeride), but in a narrower width and with no metal. Unflappable stability remains its greatest strength, but never at the expense of general ease. "Light, quick and still plenty stable," said Schoff.
