Atomic D2 VF 82/NTL 12 (2012)
Tester's Review
Got speed? Most of the testers are pretty comfortable high velocity, yet none dared to find the D2's top end. It just keeps wanting more. Double-deck construction progressively stiffens the ski as speeds increase, and a dense foam core soaks up vibrations. No. 2 in Hard-Snow Grip and Stability, it's a precise and powerful carver. But with its 82 mm waist, it's not completely useless in soft snow. That's especially nice on soft groomers, where other carvers often trench too deeply. "A ski you can trust with your life," said Hogen. "Lay it over and feel the G's."
