Atomic RT CS 130 (2008)
It’s a step down from the top race model, but the 130 trades only a smidge of precision for comfort. It has a moderately padded liner in a 98-mm forefoot shell. It’s sturdy and commanding but won’t fatigue your foot as quickly. In fact, our testers found it unusually comfortable for a race boot. Slipping into it is smooth and easy. But just as important, the stance is assertively strong. Be prepared to stay on top of the control panel at all times. “The flex is firm, but it’s forgiving enough for bumps,” said Gleason.
Wide toe spreads and narrow heels.
