Atomic Smoke TI/XTO 12 (2012)
Tester's Review
A past leader of its category, the Smoke Ti still holds its own as a value-performance ski. It's always amazing what Atomic can do without wood. The dense, milled-foam core of the Smoke Ti soaks up the vibrations and puts every centimeter of edge on snow in deep high-speed carves, but it's still plenty lively (No. 2 in Rebound). Don't be fooled by the price: It's not an intermediate ski. It comes into its own at speed and loves high edge angles. "Incredible at aggressive arcs on groomed and in light crud," said Lewis. "No cruising. All hammer."
