Atomic Theory (2012)
Tester's Review
Atomics of the past have sometimes favored the most aggressive and/or heaviest skiers-and were sometimes a little heavy themselves. Not so the Theory, a metal-free twin-tip surfer that's all about freedom of terrain choice and turn shape. Edge-grip isn't its specialty (for that, see the Crimson Ti), but its turned-up tail and tip rocker combine to give it a fun, loose feel in crud and powder, making it an ideal daily driver for Western skiers and Eastern soft-snow snobs. "Loves to adventure off trail, where it feels nice and light and easy to maneuver," said Rogen.
