Pro The CS 130 exudes confidence without being cocky. It retains the geometry of the pure-blooded Race Tech Ti models that Bode and Hermann have used, but Atomic says it has expanded the inner cavity a smidgen to soften the boot's vicelike grip. Maybe so, but testers still found the fit as tight as a Chinese finger trap and the flex as stout as a pint of Guinness. The CS 130 earned solid marks in every category-the only one of the gold-medal Race boots not to suffer a bobble anywhere. It even tied with the Head RS 110 for best Entry/Exit score in the category. On the hill, it simply connects the skier to the snow, immediately and with power. "It's solid," said Rich. "Tilt it left or right, and it rips through everything, although powder isn't its strong suit." Con Relatively short cuff isn't much of a safety net in the back seat. Top Scores Lateral Response 3.9, Forward Flex 3.7, Steering Power 3.7
