Blizzard Bonafide (2012)
Tester's Review
You get your pick of waist widths in Blizzard's Freemountain line-118 mm on the Bodacious, 108 mm on the Cochise (see Men's Deep). But for everyday versatility, the 98 mm Bonafide is tester favorite. Blizzard builds its Flipcore skis with cores that are pre-rockered, rather than forcing things. The ski "wants" to be rockered, which gives its sturdy construction a measure of playfulness. It still feels like a big, solid ski (No. 1 in Stability), and firm conditions won't be a problem. "Stable enough to plow through any slop; light enough to maneuver in tight spaces," said Rogan. Sold flat.
