Blizzard Magnum 8.7 IQ (2009)
Blizzard builds as much edge-grip as anyone could want onto this 87-mm waist. Its IQ interface is one of the most precise: The ski's vertical sidewalls extend above the topsheet, then curl inward to grapple the binding tightly. Marker's Duke/Jester heel, with its wide foundation, yields even more leverage. And the bottom sheet of metal extends all the way to the outer corner of the edge. Hardpack? No problem. "Nice balance of nimble and burly," said Sabanosh.
