Pro After three years of steady improvement, Blizzard broke through in the medal count at this year’s tests, picking up eight medals. It’s a brand on the rise, and the Titan 8 is a great example of its improving game. Gone is the domineering performance of Blizzard’s past, replaced with a more supple, agreeable feel. Power is still a defining trait, but there’s room for fun, too. The 8 is similar in construction to the 9, but there’s no metal, so it’s livelier. And the beveled sidewalls of last year are now vertical, which explains its above-average edge-grip. Some testers still worried it was just too much ski for many people, but others loved its blend of strength and finesse. "Trustworthy and predictable," said Casey, "and you can really stand on it." Con Mediocre scores for Rebound Energy and Moguls.
