Bluehouse MR (2013)
The MR (some still call it the Mister, and it still rocks the dude-in-a-suit graphic) has been around since Year 1 for Bluehouse, and it's still positioned as a low-price value ski for the everyday resort skier. Bluehouse builds it to spend about 70 percent of its time on-piste, but says it's good for park duty as well. It's narrow and shapely enough to be right at home cruising soft groomers. It's a bamboo-core, metal-free twintip laminate construction. Bluehouse, established in 2007, is located in Salt Lake City, where it builds some of its skis and all of its prototypes in a downtown factory/warehouse. Sales are online-only (bluehouseskis.com). It collaborates with local artists on topsheet graphics.
