Dolomite Pro Z 130 (2007)

Dolomite Pro Z 130 (2007)

Pro In the past two seasons, Dolomite has focused on a grassroots effort to build its performance image. Both of the back-to-basics Z series entries in this category scored well. That's not surprising, since the only leg-up the 130 has is stiffer plastic and a tighter, firmer liner. The shell is anatomically shaped, and Dolomite should be commended for using standard U.S./U.K. sizing, which means they built one extra shell into the size run, narrowing the gaps between sizes. That costs money but provides precise fits for more skiers. The 130 is a boot for skiers with a firm touch. It's strong to the edge and very quick, but testers worried its stiffness hampered versatility in bumps. "They're rock solid," said Sheinberg. "If you put a lot of oomph in your turns, these will be loyal companions." Con Great for hard snow, but less versatile in bumps, powder. Top Scores Lateral Response 3.4, Steering Power 3.4, Rear Support 3.3
