Dolomite UDrive10/Perfecta UDrive 10 (2007)

Pro Dolomite has loaded so many features into this boot that it may take a while to master them. The U-Drive is also the only medal-winning boot to incorporate a ski/walk feature. That's something we normally shun, but this version is particularly clever. When the lower cuff buckle flips open, an integrated lever releases the cuff so it can hinge freely. It yields the most natural walk mode we've experienced, at minimal reduction of rear support. Meanwhile, the rear of the cuff can be tilted back to provide room for big calves-just one of many ways this boot accommodates wider, fuller feet. "A part-time skier with high-volume feet will love it," said Wax. "It steers well from the foot, and if you use the cuff to steer, it has enough lateral fortitude to carve turns." Con Roominess translates to sloppiness on slim feet. Top Scores Entry/Exit 3.4, Adjustability 2.8, Skiing Comfort 2.8
