The XXL is what the Dynastar race-room guys in Sallanches are making (by hand) when they're not laying up GS and super G skis for World Cup athletes. Two sheets of metal, wood core ... the only concession to liveliness or forgiveness is a strip of foam milled into the core. Testers warn it's a beast, but a fun one. "For all its beefiness, it's surprisingly versatile," said Couperthwait.
