Elan E/flex 4 Plate (2013)
Elan's entry level front side ski has the same general construction as the E/Flex 6, but with a cheaper and less responsive wood and synthetic core that should make it more forgiving. The slight tip rocker shortens the contact length to help the ski turn easier, and the company says its wood and synthetic core helps keep the ski lighter and less expensive while keeping its torsional rigidity. The QT w/binding system is likely to be less responsive than the Fusion, but many skiers may not notice or care about the difference.
