Fischer Vision Exhale (2009)
Fischer improved the already successful Exhale, milling carbon rails into its wood core and switching from a cosmetic cap to a load-bearing one. Not a ski geek? All you need to know is it's easygoing, but will bite when you need it to. Testers ranked it No. 1 in Quickness, and noted it's a cinch to steer, due in part to a women-specific mold. The only complaint was that it dived in powder. Moscarella said, "The perpetual struggler will have breakthroughs on this ski."
Best For
Building confidence on bumps or cord
Not For
Powder or crud: It scored last in Flotation
