Fischer Watea 94 (2009)
The Watea 94 doesn't screw around. Wood core, carbon-fiber reinforcement, sandwich construction, near-vertical sidewalls-all in all a simple construction, fairly lightweight but plenty sturdy. Its straight sidecut would rather spend time in the fall line than cut across it, so it's not surprising it got high marks for high-speed stability. In fact, it works best at speed. "The faster you go and the more pressure you put on it, the better it handles," said Larsen.
Best For
Attacking virgin snow at high speed
Not For
Has little patience for tentative technique
PRICE (MSRP): $1225.00
