Goode Akasha (2013)
The narrowest women's ski in Goode's lineup will be best suited to groomed snow and hardpack. It's traditional camber should yield excellent edge-grip, and skilled carvers will enjoy its rebound between turns. The Akasha has the same sidecut as the men's Plunge, but its turn radius (11.6 m) is much smaller due to shorter lengths, which means it should be an eager carver and especially well-suited for quick, lively turns. Construction: wood core with all-carbon-fiber torsion box. Goode made a radical change in its layups last year, going with wood, instead of foam, for all of its cores.
PRICE (MSRP): $1000.00
