Head iSupershape Magnum (2012)
The Magnum is one of the best selling skis in the world-an all-mountain carving ski for the skiers who spend 80 percent of their time on the hard snow, with a versatile turn shape designed for ease of use. This ski employs KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System)-a chip located near the heel of the binding coverts vibrations of the ski into electrical energy that's then released intotreactive fibers in the tail of the ski. As vibrations increase, the fibers stiffen to increase acceleration and rebound out of a turn-like a turbo-charger for your skis. Similarly, Intelligence Technology uses fibers placed in an argyle pattern in the core, in front of the binding. At faster speeds, vibrations are converted into electrical energy, and the forefront of the ski stiffens up. At slower speeds, the fibers stay limp, making it easier to manipulate. This ski is only available with a binding system: the Free Flex Pro 11 or Pro 14.
