Head S9L (2008)
The S9 is the women’s comfort model in Head’s polished S line. Its plush liner and easy flex make it a good choice for smaller women—especially those who get cold. It skis well but doesn’t like to get shoved around. A snap-in shell module reduces volume as needed. If it feels over-roomy, have the shop slip it in, whole or in part, to customize your fit. You can further tinker with it at home. “It skis nicely and responds adequately,” said Reigle. “There’s good support.”
Best For
Lots of casual skiing.
Not For
Experts or taller/stronger women.
PRICE (MSRP): $560.00
