The S11 leans more to the comfort side of the equation, but that doesn’t detract from a balanced stance and sufficiently powerful engine. Testers loved its buckles, which are levered in a way that allows tight buckling with minimal effort. And a space-filling shell insert allows it to be downsized. The suspension is smooth and balanced, and the shell is anatomically sculpted. The S11 has a gentle entry and an initial fit that a lot of testers found exceptionally relaxing. “Very comfortable, yet it’s capable of going anywhere on the mountain,” said White.
