K2 A.M.P. Charger (2012)
Tester's Review
The second-narrowest ski in the entire test offers the edge-hold you'd expect, but remains agreeable and obedient. Testers wanted a longer length, but were impressed by the Charger's flexibility: relaxed when they wanted to chill (No. 1 in Forgiveness), energetic when they were ready to get after it (No. 3 in Quickness). Two sheets of metal give its hybrid cap/sidewall construction plenty of integrity, and a touch of tip rocker keeps it from being unwieldy or too demanding. "A great Eastern cruiser; surprisingly snappy for how smooth and forgiving it is," said Moffatt.
