K2 MissConduct (2013)
If you really spend lots of time skiing backward, consider the bi-directional Missdemeanor. If not, the Missconduct, also part of K2's women's Factory Team series of athlete-inspired, youth-driven twintips, is a more traditional (forward facing) and perhaps more sensible value. It's a metal-free, wood-core, women's-specific K2 Bioflex2 construction, with aspen underfoot (70 percent) for strength and responsiveness and paulownia (30 percent) tip and tail for softer flex and reduced swing weight. K2's TwinTech sidewalls are beveled inward at the top to protect the ski from damage caused by the other ski's edge. K2's All-Terrain Rocker combines 70 percent camber with 30 percent tip/shovel rocker to smooth the ride, enhance forgiveness and improve soft-snow flotation. Tip and tail hardware is removable, and the holes readily accept trim-to-fit K2 skins for touring. As with all Factory Team skis, the edges are extra thick (3.5 mm) for enhanced durability, and the base graphic is as cool as the topsheet. The pink ribbon on the base signifies K2's support (at least $75,000 annually) for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
