Kastle BMX88 (2012)
Tester's Review
Usually the consensus among testers is pretty good. Not so with the BMX88 (Big Mountain Cross 88). Eight of 11 testers put it in their top-five lists, but the doubters punished it in the scoring. It came down to whether you thought the 88 was too soft and too little or pleasingly light, quick and finesseful. Even some of the big guys (and our biggest) were strong supporters, finding it fun and easy to manage. It's light-overall and in swingweight-but doesn't (most agreed) get knocked around in crud. "Light as can be; cat-like agility; sinks its teeth in, too," said Elling. Sold flat.
PRICE (MSRP): $899.00
