Kastle MX70 (2010)
The Austrian brand is back. Once a big player on the race scene, Kastle (KESS-ley) has emerged from the ashes of mismanagement with a new unisex line. No fuss, no gimmicks, it’s a skier’s ski: traditional wood core, sandwich-sidewall construction with Titanal and rubber dampeners. Testers were floored. Great grip, good turn variety, predictable, stable and smooth. Not lauded for versatility, but the MX70 sure is good at what it was built for. “It does one thing, and does it right,” Thys said.
PRICE (MSRP): $1080.00
