Kastle MX70 (2012)
Kastle, an Austrian brand with race cred, builds its skis for skiers: traditional wood core, sandwich construction, two sheets of Titanal, hard phenol sidewall plus sheets of rubber that aim to dampen vibration. The 70 is the narrowest in Kastle's all-mountain Mountain Cross line, and thus targets hard-snow carvers. It's similar in feel and build to the RX10, but comes in a wider selection of sizes. Sold flat.
PRICE (MSRP): $1099.00
