Kastle MX78 (2012)
The MX (Mountain Cross) line is designed for all-mountain versatility, and the 78 waist might be wide enough to fulfill that role for an Easterner. The MX layups are classic: laminate construction, wood cores, hard phenol sidewall, metal top and bottom. The one difference is rubber: a full sheet beneath the topsheet, plus strips over the edges. It's designed to make the ski smooth and quiet, well-suited for comfortable cruising. Meanwhile, the tip cutaway reduces weight and aims to further dampen vibrations. Sold flat.
PRICE (MSRP): $1149.00
