Kastle MX88 (2010)
Kastle stresses quality at every turn, and its prices certainly reflect that. But it’s no boutique brand for poseurs, either. The MX88 is meant to be skied hard, and testers found it to be especially quick and playful—with an underpinning of surprising power. The tip cutaway reduces swing weight, while vertical sidewalls and signature rubber dampening layers give it edginess and smoothness, respectively. “A smooth, fun ride that’s up for anything,” said Rogan.
PRICE (MSRP): $1180.00
