Lange RS 130 (2012)
This, Lange's mothership design, has spawned a litter of other good boots—softer ones, shorter ones, wider ones—but the original is back unchanged for another year. Testers continue to rave about perfect closure, ideal stance angles and a flex feel that makes them salivate. Complaints? Heck, they even like the baby blue. Got bunions? Fear not. The mono-injected shell construction makes bootfitting modifications a snap. Notes: solid sole and monoinjected construction maximizes power to the ski, shell shape incorporates more room for toebox, side of 5th met head, navicular and instep, Control Fit liner utilizes anatomically shaped interior padding and cutaway instep design over top of foot, toe dam design is low profile and water tight, Natural Stance combines lower ramp angle with more upright cuff angle for a relaxed and tall position.
