Lange World Cup 120/120W (2007)

Lange World Cup 120/120W (2007)

Pro The fit is narrow (98 mm at the forefoot), the forward lean is aggressive, and skiers often need a punch or grind to make it fit without pain. But none of that scared our testers, who continue to enjoy this potent performance cocktail. This year's 120 has a more substantial liner with a detachable Velcro spoiler. It's more comfortable than past versions, particularly in the toe region, though testers felt that the new liner sacrifices some shell intimacy. The 120 lacks soothing comfort, but it's powerful and predictable, bonds well to the ski and has a stout but nicely progressive flex. "It has an excellent ability to shape turns," said Schaffner, "with a flex that's right on target for skiing hard all over the mountain." The women's model uses slightly softer plastic to adjust flex. Con The adjustment range on the buckles is relatively short. Top Scores Lateral Response 3.4, Rear Support 3.3, Steering Power 3.3
