Lange World Cup 130 (2007)

Lange World Cup 130 (2007)

Pro Lange likes to slap the "World Cup" tag on a lot of its boots. That's a legacy of its total dominance of the first Cup tour in 1968, but this isn't actually Lange's World Cup boot. That's the 150, which has a significantly stiffer flex and the thinnest of liners. The 130 still delivers Lange-like quickness and power to the edge, but as race boots go, it's downright cushy. Testers found the flex a tad soft but nicely progressive-no sudden bottoming-out. A neoprene toe box and tongue give the 130 a highly accurate fit that grips the foot in all the right places. And the shell comes in two versions: low- and medium-volume. (We tested the former.) Lawrence felt it hewed to its heritage. "Typical Lange: high energy, and it connects skier to snow very well." Con Lots of forward lean, which won't suit skiers who favor an upright stance. Top Scores Rear Support 3.5, Forward Flex 3.4, Steering Power 3.3
