Nordica GTS12/Olympia GTS12 (2007)

Pro The GTS swaddles the foot in pillowy comfort, yet still provides a reactive ski experience. The boot is exceptionally wide in the forefoot, but testers felt it maintained crisp steering until it approached the highest RPMs. The highly polished GTS is loaded with useful features and top-quality hardware. Levered cuff buckles require little force to operate, and the Booster elasticized power strap wraps the cuff snugly around the leg. The GTS was also judged easiest in the category to put on and take off. Female testers loved the ultrasoft, high-insulation faux-fur liner on the inner boot. "Score one for Aspiring Experts everywhere," said Sheinberg. "This is a cushy ride with substance. Exactly what I would want if I were exploring new challenges on the hill." Con Flex adjuster has negligible effect. Put it on "hard" and leave it there. Top Scores Entry/Exit 3.8, Skiing Comfort 3.6, Closure System 3.5
