Nordica Hell & Back (2013)
Tester's Review
Judging by the top four skis in the category, 98 mm is the ideal waist for the Mixed Snow West skier. But only the Hell & Back is metal-free. So no surprise it's No. 1 in Quickness. Nordica keeps it relatively light on purpose: The returning Hell & Back is part of an all-glass collection of all-mountain skis designed for occasional touring. (You can buy precut skins for $299.) Testers didn't miss the Titanal; there's plenty of edge grip and stability and certainly no lack of power. "Comfy, fluid, obedient, yet ready to get after it."
PRICE (MSRP): $899.00
