Nordica HR Pro Helldiver CA (2010)
“CA” refers to the carbon laminates in this version of the Helldiver. You can get it with metal, too (Helldiver TI, $1,499). The latter might deliver more edge-grip and stability, but it’s the carbon—strong, lightweight—that’s responsible for the CA’s defining trait: a quickness that’s surprising in a ski this wide. Its flotation is unassailable, and a strong, stiff tail defies you to leave any turn unfinished. “Ripping, arcing fun-machine with energetic snap,” said Morgan. “Confident in any turn shape.”
PRICE (MSRP): $1249.00
