Nordica Olympia Firefox XBi (2008)
Speed skis are bred for bite. But the Fluid showed a softer side, with gentle rebound and an easy feel. Testers (particularly lightweights) loved its range of ability: It can skid an intermediate down a groomer or carve expert arcs down steeps. With a wasp-waist of 68 mm, it excels in short turns—and not in crud or powder. Some bigger testers grumbled it may be too friendly—they wanted it to bare its teeth on ice. "Its eagerness to forgive your shortcomings makes it fantastic and fun," raved Lewis.
Lighter, more casual skiers.
