But more surprising than the Conquer’s bite on ice (Nordica is known for precision) is its ability to scrub speed: It happily releases into an easygoing skid. And on smooth corduroy, it purrs. Crud, powder, breakable crust—the Conquer will succeed. “It’s got substance,” Forland said. “Best as you pick up speed.”
