Rossignol Avenger 82 TI_TPX/Axial2 120 (2012)
Tester's Review
The returning Avenger doesn't put up the top score in any one criterion, but it gets the kind of high marks across the board that denote versatility and overall goodness. Smooth, supple, never unwieldy, it's a classic construction from recently resurgent Rossi: wood core, vertical sidewalls, two sheets of metal. It knows what to do when you tip it on edge, favoring medium radius arcs on the groomed, though it's a little nervous in Western crud and quite averse to powder. "A great ski. All-mountain versatility with a high-speed race pedigree," said Boller.
